Perfectly Paralegal Community Guidelines

Our goal is simple: to create the most welcoming, supportive, and professional online community for paralegals, legal assistants, legal professionals, students, and those interested in the legal profession.

By participating in the community, you agree to follow these guidelines.

Be Respectful

Treat every member with courtesy and professionalism.

Healthy discussions and differing opinions are encouraged. Personal attacks, insults, harassment, bullying, discrimination, or abusive language are not.

Assume Good Intent

Most members are here to learn, grow, and help others. If someone asks a basic question, answer with kindness or simply move on.

Remember that everyone started somewhere.

Keep Discussions Professional

Please keep conversations relevant to legal education, career development, workplace issues, technology, productivity, networking, and related professional topics.

Off-topic conversations may be removed to keep the community organized and valuable.

Protect Confidential Information

Never post:

  • Client names
  • Confidential case information
  • Attorney-client privileged communications
  • Protected personal information
  • Court documents that should not be publicly shared

If discussing a legal situation, remove identifying details.

No Unauthorized Practice of Law

Do not provide legal advice or encourage others to rely on information posted in the community as legal advice.

Educational discussions are welcome. Legal advice is not.

Be Helpful

Share your knowledge.

Answer questions.

Celebrate successes.

Support members who are learning.

Constructive feedback is encouraged when offered respectfully.

No Spam or Excessive Self-Promotion

Members are welcome to share helpful resources when relevant to a discussion.

However, repeated advertising, affiliate marketing, unsolicited direct messages, recruiting, or promotional posts may be removed.

Commercial promotions require prior approval from Perfectly Paralegal.

Keep It Professional

Please avoid posting content that is offensive, obscene, discriminatory, threatening, or inappropriate for a professional audience.

Respect Intellectual Property

Only share materials that you own or have permission to distribute.

Do not upload copyrighted books, CLE materials, forms, or other resources without permission.

Report Problems

If you encounter inappropriate content or behavior, please report it rather than responding publicly.

Our moderators will review reported content as quickly as possible.

Moderation

To maintain a positive environment, moderators may:

  • Edit or remove posts.
  • Close discussions.
  • Issue warnings.
  • Suspend accounts.
  • Permanently remove members for repeated or serious violations.

Moderation decisions are made to protect the community and maintain a respectful learning environment.

We Want This to Be a Community

The strongest professional communities are built by members who participate.

Ask questions.

Share ideas.

Encourage one another.

Celebrate wins.

Offer support during challenges.

Whether you’re a student, an experienced paralegal, a legal assistant, a legal professional, or simply exploring the profession, we’re glad you’re here.

Thank you for helping make Perfectly Paralegal a welcoming place to learn, grow, and connect.
